The Rowenta DW2070 model is a long lasting iron for a number of reasons. For instance, it has a scratch resistant soleplate and self-cleaning features.
Other Features
The worst thing that can happen in the morning is for your iron box to stop working. I went through that experience a while back before I decided to get a modern, efficient iron. That’s how I stumbled upon this iron. Here’s what I found out.
- Three-way shut off – No need to worry about leaving your iron lying around in the house. This one shuts off when placed horizontally, vertically or tipped over.
- Self-clean system- No more impurities deposited in the iron. It self-cleans calcium deposits.
- Anti-drip system – No more leaks while ironing. Once you iron a section of the garment, it does not leave wet trails as you proceed.
Inbuilt thumb rest – iron easily and comfortably with your thumb on the top of the iron. - 7 foot cord – you can navigate around the ironing surface as you want without worrying about the length of the cord from the plug. If your plug is a distance from the surface you can use when ironing, this cord extends well along the floor to avoid tripping other occupants.
- 300 micro holes soleplate- These holes burst sufficient steam to work on any fabric. Additionally, the soleplate is made of stainless steel and it is scratch resistant.
- An 8.45 ounce water tank – No refills needed while you iron.
Why I Like This Iron
- I was looking for an iron with a soleplate made of a non- stick material and this iron promises to stay clean despite the number of items I use it. Stainless steel is a durable material too, and it is not scratched easily.
- The water tank has a good capacity to accommodate ironing jobs that go on for hours. This makes it a great model for housekeepers.
Any Cons?
Some users feel the soleplate is a bit too small so it takes longer to work on the whole garment.
Questions Asked
- Question 1: Does it shut off automatically?
Answer: Yes it does. If you don’t use it for 30 seconds, it shuts off until you start using it again. - Question 2: What is the length of its cord?
Answer: It is seven feet long. You can plug it on the wall and work on an ironing board comfortably. - Question 3: How can I refill this iron?
Answer: Fill the measuring cup, and then open the blue cover on the front of the iron. Pour in a sufficient amount but don’t go above the line indicated.
